I read a lot of forums but i need a ? so go easy on me if i'm breaking any rule this is my first thead.. I read that you need a mod chip to play back up games and you can upgrade your hardrive and put games in there. I read that there's protection on each games. So My ? is, is it possible that they made a new protection so you can't put games into the hardrive even with the modchip. Josh
you are not breaking the rules as long as you are talking about backed-up games, not pirated games. that being said, in order to play a backed-up game you need to mod your box in some way (Chip it or Softmod it). Once you do that, you can upgrade the HDD. Once the HDD is upgraded, you can use some apps to upload a game on the HDD so you can play it through the HDD. As far as the protection goes, The only way to make a back-up game is with a modded box because there is a protection on each disk that wont allow the content to be read on a pc.
Yeah I know. But My ? is can they come up with a new protection that you can't copy games into hardrive even with the modchip? Thanks
Im sure they are looking for one, but Im sure like modders for the ps2 do, there will be some type of fix to break that too. anyways, Im sure they would of developed something by now.
