I wanted to buy a dvd player that would play avi movies converted into vcds. I used tmpgenc to convert into vcd. when i tried to burn it with Nero, it said it had to encode it (i thought tmpgenc already did this). Nero took a few extra minutes but ultimately was successful. I took burned cd to test on dvd players- none of them would play it. However, it did show a "title page that said burned with Nero". Please help.

Try pressing 1 and then press play on the remote control!

    I guess you're the guru here :)

I'm trying to reburn the cd in Nero the full version- 'cause before i used Nero Express. I just noticed that the menu page track came up & it said that the pause was infinate. i just changed it to 5 secs. i hope this works. at the dvd store, we just pressed play and the title page played 7secs and automatically paused. if Nero says that track1 is menu page, i should be able to push track2 on the player and play right? thanks for the feedback

Yes that could be it. Usually it would be 1 though!

My problem solved- it was so simple and stupid. You were right Dela, my CD was fine- I just had to press "1" with the remote.

No basically it just instructs the dvd player to play the first file/chapter!
