Hi All! This is my first post, so please be easy if I did something wrong! Recently I've decided to download some flash movies for my iriver (from: www.angryalien.com), but seeing as the only controls are up, right, down and left (no 'select') I can't interact as well as I thought I could've...However, I believe it is possible for me to just edit the movie and delete the frames that are holding me back ...allowing the rest of the move to play...the question I have is: Does anyone know of any software available that will allow me to delete frames from a flash movie? I've tried a program called Flash Decompiler but it's only a trial and doesnt allow me to do pretty much anything I have a trial of Macromedia Flash MX 2004 but whenever I load the clips, it gives me an error message that it is protected or something.... Thanks a lot! P.S. PLease reply as I need these clips a lot
If the movie is in SWF format, then I dont think there is a way of opeing and editing it, because the whole point of SWF is to hold the final product without the fear of it being edited or anything. The only way to edit it is to have the original flash file.
Thanks for the reply! Well, do you know anyway that I can get the original flash file? (I.E. Any converters etc.??) Thanks! Kwiksta
There is no way, thats the whole point of the SWF format, it is a stand alone complete flash file, designed so you cant tamper with it, if you want to edit it, try and get ahold of the source file, which is the file with the red icon, which is known as a Flash Document (.fla), the silver or gray icon is the Flash Movie, is smaller in terms of memory file holding only the movie and movie data, there is no way to tamper with it.
