First post here. Hope someone can get me started. I just downloaded Mystic River, and it is in bin/cue format. I know how to burn these types of formats in applications, but VCD is a whole new ballgame to me. I read the .nfo file and info was that program was in NTSC VCD. It is about 787 MB each (2 folders) CD1 and CD2. Named obs-mra and obs-mrb. Is it possible to extract this files to a virtual drive and view them from my computer, which has a DVD drive, but no DVD burner? Is is possible to burn these to CD, since I have a CD-RW? What software would I be needing? I have Nero, but might need a special plug-in?? Any help would be appreciated. bently
If these Files are in Bin/Cue Format then you Just need to Burn them to CD-R as a Image File useign Whatever software you would usually use to Burn Bin/Cue Files ,Then you Just Put the CD-R in your DVD Player that supports VCD and watch the Movie...You can also use a program Like ISO Buster or simular to extract the Mpeg file out of the Bin file and watch it on your PC....
Thanks Minion, Is there any way of knowing if the DVD player supports VCD playback? Also, is it possible to split the image file when burning to CD? So from what I have been reading is VCD the ultimate format to get the movie file into for burning to disk? Thanks again for posting this information. Greatly appreciated. bently
Well you shouldn"t need to split the Bin file because in Image or VCD Format you can fit 800mb on a 700mb CD-R...The Manual that came with your DVD Player should tell you if it supports VCD ...
