newbie problem.. help needed.

    Followed all instructions word by word for m3 ds simply guide but when i insert the cart into my ds i get the message COULD`NT FIND DS MENU.DAT........ help very much appreciated.

    in the root of ur micro sd u should have a file named " _ds_menu.dat". is it in there?

    Where would i find the root of the micro sd?

    when ou open up ur micro sd it will be the first thing you see there will be a system folder and the _ds_menu.dat file

    RED box - you should only see a letter here (eg G:\) It will usually be F:\ through to I:\ but can be something else depending on how many drives your PC has.
    BLUE Box - These are needed for the M3 to load, make sure you haev them in this area (aka the root)
    GREEN box - These are needed for Moonshell, if you don't use Moonshell you can delete them.

    Excuse the size of the picture, but when I resized it the text became unreadable.

    To post images you add [img*] to the beginning of the picture link and [/img*] to the end (no * in the code) the img is case sensitive.

    Thanks men really appreciate your help/advice/diagrams... but when i plug the micro sd into my pc go through my computer right click on the removeable drive and open just takes me to a blank window?????????

    I take it something is not right ha..

    ok did that,but the file that you have for a dat file for _DS_MENU.DAT is actually coming up on my system as cd movie..

    Ignore that, that will be due to the codecs on your system. (the file extension is the same so it assumes it is a video file)

    ok.. so what do i do with it..... sorry for being a pain on the neck.

    Just copy it to your card as shown in the picture (except the icon on your _DS_MENU.DAT will be a video icon, which makes no difference)

    i have the same problem as above....and i followed everything. i do in fact have the DS MENU icon (in the form of a video) as well as the DS MSHL.nds files, and yet it still wont work. i still get the same "Couldn't find _DS_MENU.DAT"

    please help me!
