    Hello Everyone,
I just want to ask a generic question which is probably a simple question to answer. I want to copy a DVD to a blank DVD-r or DVD+r using my dual format DVD burner (Sony DRU-510). Do I need a specific program, I already have Nero 5.5 and RecordNow Max but when I try to make a straight copy it will not allow you for copyright reasons. I've read that dvdxcopy is the best for straight DVD copies but it costs just over $100 which I dont want to spend. How is the DVD shrink program, I know it is free and read that it is a bit more time comsuming to use but since it is free I think I am going to give it a try. Before I jump into this I just want to hear some feedback from you guys with any tips or tricks with what I should look out for. Do I need to get one of these software programs to copy straight DVD movies to a blank DVD-r or DVD+r?

DVD Shrink is your friend! You can use Nero or RecordNow with it. Here's a link to the finest guides on the net. Check them out and if you still have questions we'll be here.

    Hi ECMoney,
    Nephilium is correct about Shrink.

With a bit of practice and the guides, you will see how easy it is.
