couple of newbie questions, I'be only bought a couple of dvds so far. What do they mean by "amnamorphic format"? Also, aspect ratio of 2.35:1 means the width in relation to height, right? Do different movies have different aspect ratios? I just ordered a DVD of Planet of the Apes and I saw this stuff in the list of specs. Actually its 2 dvds, seemed worth getting for all the stuff that's on them. thanks Karl
Aspect ratio is normally either 4:3 (normal TV) or 16:9 (widescreen TV). There are other aspect ratios as well (most of the movies are originally filmed in even wider format than widescreen TV can show without adding black lines).
