I`m building my first PVR .My computer specifications are in my signature .Is my computer good enough to run two tuners and watch a recorded show ? Do I need anything else to make the WinTV-PVR-500 MCE-Kit work ? Is there another dual tuner card available ? I need something to replace my two VCRs .Am I on the right track ? I`m using XP media as my operating system . Any suggestions for hardware or software are apreciated .
I'M going thru the same thing obviously you will need Microsoft media center try newegg.com for price or others over >100 <150. Obviously the card and the operating system min 1.2ghz pentium 4. My friend just built one works great just like tivo without monthly rate. He got impatient went to local electronics store bought the WinTv PVR-150 model came with remote beanbag the single tuner card for <150. Hope this will help lipper
