how is it that you go from newbie to anything else? i dont mean to be rude,. or silly or anything but i know a lot about ripping dvds,. cds,.. and copying just about almost anything and its kind of insulting (dont ask me why) to be considered a newbie,.. yes it is my first time in this program,.... thats just because its easier and faster than most, ... if im being stupid,. or silly to want to change my stat jst leet me know,... but from the other forums and crap ive been in,.. stats is pritty important if you want to be considered for you ansewers,....
There is a thread that's been stickied in Advance DVD +/- you can look there, but it's kind of gone off topic. But I can tell you that 500 is what you need to be a senior, that's all I remember. I can't remember an instance where someone's rank played into the "acceptance" of there advice. And please don't go around posting 2 sentence replys just to increase your post count.
Newbie to Junior Member -- 25 posts Junior Member to Member -- 100 posts Member to Senior Member -- 500 posts Senior Member to Addict -- 2500 posts anyone to Moderator -- determination and bribes to admins anyone to Admin -- decent six-figure (euros or dollars, we are not picky) lump sum to AfterDawn's Swiss bank account
welcome to the forum: @ PCWatson: titles mean nothing even the daboss (dRD) has that stated under his name. Its more how much knowledge you have and how you help people here, thats what counts Be insulted thats fine by us but at the end of the day it does take time to go up the ranks.Patience and persistance is the key. @ glueater: what kind of response is this to a newbie who has the right to express his opinion .Its not up to you or me but the mods to define whether or not a transgression has occurred or how to post
i wish people would use the search function don't mean to cause offence but this is like the 4th thread I've seen on this subject
@ PCwatson, trust me, on this site you WILL get instant respect if you help people. If you act like a pratt, you will be treated like one, no more, no less! We tend to treat people like adults here, as most of us act like adults. We do have a laugh, a wicked & twisted sense of humour is a must! In fact I think that it should be in the rules & regs. PS, welcome to Afterdawn, No 1 for top tips & advice. Unless it is myself who responds, as I am a jackass. LOL!
You're right, I shouldn't have said that, having absolutly no authority whatsoever. But you understand what I mean don't you, it doesn't really bother me, but everyonce in a while there are these post that are 1 sentence long and the only advice they can give is "I don't know, hope someone comes soon" or "don't burn so fast". Which is fine b/c alot of the times they do apply, but there is more than just that and to post just that would be misleading.
the "I don't know, hope someone comes soon" i have a problem with as do other members!! neph cut 1 newbie's post in half because of those type of posts!
i know what you mean but you could of put it more nicely and easier to a newbie rather than the way you phased it
I thought I was putting it politly. How would you have put it? I used please. Maybe you just read it w/ a harsh tone and not the tone I wrote it w/. lol
