I have tried some newer roms, such as the following: Hello Kitty Big City Dreams Monster Lab Tony Hawks Motion These all allow you to "create" the SAV file, but when the game is launched and the ROM tries to access the SAV file, it errors out with various messages like "cannot read save data", etc. We are using 1.18 (latest) kernel. Anyone else seeing this issue, and how do we get around it? it's been a long time since a new version of the kernel was released and it seems this maybe a kernel issue.
the last firmware for the r4ds was 1.18 and there hasnt been an update for quite a while now . there may be a workround for each problem rom found here - http://wiki.scorpei.com/index.php/R4_compatibility_list look under firmware . woof811. ps. ive bought at least 30 r4ds for friends and family in the past but as they are no longer supported i now buy the edge ds they are well supported with frequent firmware updates , very good build quality and support sdhc memory.
