Ok I connected up my xbox via ftp and started to transfer Project Gotham Racing 2, only took a meare 30 hours!!!! Its only transfering at 30kb/s, not the Mb/s people can do. How do i get it transfering at that sort of speed.

I used cute ftp with firwall and antivirus turned off. Slayers dashboard on the xbox and xecuter 2.6 chip installed.

I do use Craxtion for most of my games, which works a hell of a lot quicker, but it couldnt even ftp PRG2, so i used cute ftp.

Any ideas or infomation would be grateful.

Are you going through a router? If you are you need to use a CAT5 cable, if not then a crossover cable! Make sure your router is letting you go through smoothly too!

yeah if you're ftping through a router, make sure the port is open to let the data through without a bottleneck.

k that's weird then...cause there should be no bottleneck at all. Assuming you have a 10/100 etho jack on your PC you should get speeds of about 9-12 thousand.

Maybe your Network card\ethernet port is slow or you have a bad cable!? Try with a different cable!

yeah i thought this, but with other software like Craxtion and Qwix, a game only take bout 20 - 30 mins to transfer??? I will try another cable and see if that helps. o btw yes its 10/100 cable.

dont use cute ftp, use flashfxp and make sure PASV mode is on,that will most likely fix the problem,if not that then a port on your computer is blocking the transfer rate...
