My grandson got a Nintendo 3ds for Christmas. In his wisdom he updated the software version and now all his old r4 cards wont play on his console. Is there any way of restoring the old version so that he can use his older cards,or is there any other way of overcoming this problem ???????????
i am sorry to hear that. maybe he don't know the 3ds console can't be updated above version 4.5. because the 3ds card just can work on version between 4.1 to 4.5. and there is no way can downgrade it now.
3DS console cannot be downgrade, but your old r4 cards, maybe can be updated. It depends on what r4 card it is, you can check your r4 cards' lable, there should have official site listed on it, check the official site, see is there any patch can update your card, then you can use a ds or dsi console to update the r4 cards.
