Why do I say this? Because, I (and other people) think Nintendo will end up using normal 4.7GB DVDs as their media. PS2 and Xbox have had success with with these media, but if Nintendo decides to use them, they're going to fall behind. In graphics. I know...graphics isn't everything, but c'mon...PS3 will use Blu-Ray and Xbox will probably use HD-DVD. Kids these days..want better graphics so they'll probably go for Xbox360 and PS3. Nintendo used 1.7 or 1.* GB Mini DVDs for the Gamecube. I really doubt that they'll take a huge step and use HD-DVDs or Blu-Ray. With HD-DVDs and Blu-Ray, you can have amazing graphics and a really long story or w/e. Nintendo will fall so far behind...that it will probably not make that much money on their so called "Next-Gen" system.
Don't quote me on this, but I don't Nintendo has officially announced the hardware of the new system, heck either has Sony with the PS3 yet. The only true system specs are with the Xbox 360. Sony and Nintendo both may change the specs as time goes by. I think we will just have to wait and see who comes out on top. Personally, I'll probably buy them all anyway, I already own a Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube now. I won't give up my hope for Nintendo just yet.
I think Nintendo wont fall because of that new console... if it falls, it is because of bad games. Nintendo have based only to games, not movie player etc. like Sony and M$. And this should be in Revolution forum...
I don't think it will fall either, but it could happen like Sega.I honestly have no clue if it will or not,but like Quezacotl said Nintendo isn't based like Sony and M$.You have to also think, there system will probably be the cheapest when it is released so that is good marketing.
