I have an HP laptop with an NVIDIA GeForce GO 7600 and for 2 years it has worked great. Today I tried to start Warhammer and recieved an error message. I left to do something else and when I came back my screensaver said it could not run because my Video Card did not support Direct 3D. I have reinstalled Direct X to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestiona as to the cause and a solution for my problem.
Your card might be dead but first uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Make sure you have the drivers first, download from manufacturers website, leave them in a folder on your desktop or something. Go into device manager (right click my computer > manage > device manager) right click on the card and "uninstall driver". Restart your pc and the found new hardware wizard will probably start, cancel out of that and then run the setup of the drivers you downloaded. If this does not fix the problem your graphics card may have a problem and you could do more testing to try to determine that.
