no audio in mpeg 2 created using tmpgenc dvd source creator please help

    I converted an avi file,here is what g-spot said: video:4cc-dx50/divx name divx 5.0 audio:0x0055(mp3)ID'ed as mpeg 1 layer 3
    and the output file is a mpeg 2 but has no audio when played and i have all the codecs and players needed.I used tmpgenc dvd source creator which has worked for me before.I am new to this can someone please help?

    Are you sure TMPGenc didn't create , simultaneousy, a 48 kHz audio to insert ('author') in your DVD?
    TMPGenc 2.5 creates two files: movie.M2V + movie.WAV (which you can lately compress to MP2 or AC3, to save room in the DVD).

    no all it put out was an mpeg file with no audio and it was set to system video+audio.I have tried it all different ways even using 1 click converters and get the same thing.But when I just play the avi it plays fine.what is the freekin problem this is driving me to drink.

    imto avi to dvd don/t be question.you search it.

    Or simply de-multiplex the mpeg-2 file (MPG) into a M2V and a MP2 file....
