I used Nero Express to create a VCD from an avi file, the VCD works fine on all of my dvd players but there is no sound. There is sound when I view the avi on my computer though, so I dont know what's wrong. This is the first time I've had this problem, I've burned other avi files before with no problem. The audio format of the avi is AC3, the video compression is Xvid. I already have ac3filter and XVID installed on my computer. Am I missing a Nero audio plugin? If so, I don't know which one to get. Thanks in advance
The VCD should have a folder 'MPEGAV'. Inside that folder should be a .dat file The .dat file should play back ok on the PC using your media player. Drag the .dat file onto 'MediaInfo' It should list the codec used for the audio - should be MPEG layer 2 http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/mp3_tools/mediainfo.cfm
