    Hello.
Since last month my mom has a new dvd-player.
When I create a dvd nothing is wrong in my dvd-player, my uncle's dvd-player, the dvd-player next door plays it fine.
But when I wanna watch it downstairs (living room, my mom's dvd-player) I don't get the audio!

I use TMPGenc to convert my movie and DVDAuthor(GUI) to compile my dvd.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need a new plugin for TMPGenc for audio?

    hi

if the same disc plays ok on 3 palyers and the one downstairs doesnt its the player downstairs, set to 2.1 or 5.1 depending on what type sound you have?

the other players may switch by auto?

I heard someone say it had something to do with the dvd-player not able of handeling MP2 audio and PCM audio.
The reason to solve it is to buy the TMPGEnc Sound Plug-in (AC'3) and use TMPGEnc Xpress 3 or similar program.

I startout with MPG one time, AVI the other time and divx/xvid some other time.
But I now know it is the AC'3 codec thing. I tried it yesterday and after making my audiotrack AC'3 the player downstairs gives audio. same goes for all the other players in the house, should be no problem I think, but hey problem solved!
