No channel 4 on my starview

Hi guys. Got a starview box this morning and all set up no probs with it yet (lol) but for some reason i don't have channel 4, i seem to have everything else channel 4 related except channel 4 and channel4 +1. Any ideas? Have checked all the funny named channels, majority are blank and no channel 4

 

What area and location are you in

 

Im in Teesside and NTL/Virgin. Just browsed the site and totally lost on all this technical stuff and upgrades etc so please be gentle lol

 

Press Menu > Installation > Manual Scan

Provider N*L

Down freq type in 427.000 (Channel 4)

Symbol Rate 6887

the press OK

It should scan through and find channels

these will be at the end of your channel list

 

right well done that, says 15 channels found 9 tv and 6 radio. Only new ones at bottom of page are jetix+1 and bbc1 wales. have to go through them all to see if there hiding or will they not be?

 

It could be as I am not too sure if they could be called TV*** (*** Denotes Numbers)

You could input all the codes for these providers and do Automatic Scan and see if that helps

This is where i get muddled. How do i put all them numbers in? Checked all the hidden channels and still not there. Thanks

 

To input keys manually :

press menu
press 1570. (this takes you into secret menu)
Press OK on "nagravision"
Make sure your cable provider is listed at top N*L or T***WEST C&W ect
Go down to "Key Number" and check its on 00
Go down again to "Key Data" and input the correct keys
Press OK to store
Go back up "Key Number" and change to 01 using the > button on the remote control
Go back down again to "Key Data" and input the correct keys
Press OK to store
Press "Exit" , Check the bottom option and make sure "Key EMU" is ON
Press Ok again
Then "Exit and "Exit" again back to the main tv screen

Do this for all the providers

 

All them numbers were already there, right ones. Dunno where channel 4 is then. Thanks for all your help!!!!

 

Could the frequency for chhannel 4 be different as im in England to yours? Anyone else have a diff frequency for it for me to try? Thanks

Oh right haha. Knowing my luck it will have, have top plug the proper ntl box in if out i wanna watch on there then

Cheers Celt, that will have Channel 4, 4+1 and ITV 1 on that frequency.

 

I must update the list I have for the UK

 

Its not your list Celt frequencies just change from area to area in some cases

 

How the flick do you know what area and what freq to use ha ha
