firstly, thanks for all the help just by reading previous posts. I have a starview 4 the box super, a genuine one (counted the vents), it lost the channels the other day, now it wont even pick up the freeview channels, i have tried factory reset and retune but it doesnt find any channels. I also have a standard v box and they are connected by a splitter and were working fine, now only the v box works. The cables are behind cabinets so cannot be damaged. As far as i know i am still in a safe area Am i missing something?
just looked at a link about clones and mine has the correct vents, no heatsink, but has the plug that appears on the clone box, now i'm confused
sorry mate but all you can is either try restting your box to a factory default stting,and do a rescan or reflash your box with a newer image (which can be found by clicking on the link in my sinature area and choose your starview box) either way if your box is fixed it wont last much longer if at all ,they reckon june for a total switchover from reading the various forums but no one can say for sure. but certainly soon .
thanks for the reply, got it sorted now, left the power disconnected overnight then retuned it and it came back on. Dont know why it wouldnt tune in, but its done it now Cheers
