I am using DVD Decrypter on a DVD that is 7 gig, and while it's decrypting I get a " not enough disk space" message. I have 17 gig free on my hard drive. I am using Windows XP pro using FAT 32. Any suggestions?
Hi Jerry, It's not the HD space the warning is about - when you're running FAT32 you cannot have any file larger than 4GB. Since you're running XP why on earth are you not running NTSC ??? It's so much better. Mistake # 2. You shouldn't be anywhere around DVD Decrypter with a DVD in the 7GB range. You should be using DVD Shrink. Actually you should ALWAYS be using DVD Shrink. As they say, "If me was you, - - I'd be converting my HD to NTSC in a hurry - " cheers, Pete and BTW, Welcome to our little Club )
Thanks for the info Pete. I plan to format to NTSC soon. Quick question, I was told that in order to backup my DVD, I would need to use DVD Decrypter first and then DVD Shrink. Should I go to DVD Shrink first, and do I not do DVD Decrypter? Thanks!
Hiya jerry, Generally you can just use DVD Shrink and it will do a fine job, but every now and again there is a title that Shrink doesn't like which is where you fire up Decrypter and rip it with that. Welcome to AD
Me, I'll spend cash money to see that - lol What Nephilim said Jerry - Always use DVD Shrink first - "P" _X_X_X_X_X_[small] The “old man” Pete (ö¿ô) Compaq 8000, Pent 4 CPU 2.84GHz, 1GB RAM, 520GB HD. 4 Drives, JLMS DVD ROM, Nec 4X R/W ND-1300A, HP R/W 200j, AXV CD/DVD-ROM.
