Hi guys, What I want to do - I have an .avi with two subtitle files, .idx and .sub. I want to create a DVD playable on regular home DVD player, with forced subtitles. The AVI plays fine and forced subtitles are visable using WMP and MediaPortal Here's my problem - I cannot create a DVD that displays the forced subtitles. What i have tried so far - I have converted the idx and sub files to .srt. I have tried muxing the .avi and .srt using SubMux. I have tried VirtualDub to add the subtitles to the AVI which are visable when played in VirtualDub. I have tried AVI2DVD to convert the AVI together with the .srt to DVD but no subtitles appear, when played back. Do you guys have any other suggestions? Much appreciated
Why not like this: Get ConvertXtoDVD and use that to convert your .avi and .srt to dvd-format and then just burn it. (u can use Nero to burn dvd-files to dvd)
Hmmm, I have tried AVI2DVD a number of times and that doesn't seem to work, is there a difference? or does ConvertX2DVD work better? I shall give ConvetX2DVD a go and report back. Thanks for your response OneMember
If nothing will not work.... you can burn subs to a movie -> http://divxstation.com/article.asp?aId=100
Hi OneMember The problem is that .srt's don't contain anything about forced subtitles, where as .idx have indicators for forced subs. So when playing th eavi with srt all subs appear, Is there any way to delete all subs appart from the forced elements? Thanks
