Hello I have just built a PC for a friend and havin a right mare getin output (sound and video)from the HDMI port. MoBo- (ABit)A-S78H [AMD 780G chipset] CPU- AMD Phenom X3 Graphics- ATI Radeon HD3200 (Built in) Memory- 2* 1GB DDR2 I have updated the BIOS and ATI catalyst utility. I have found a solution which says you need to change the settings in the BIOS from D-SUB/DVI to D-SUB/HDMI. I have look in all the BIOS and cant find it for sh*t. ATI catalyst utility detects the HDTV via HDMI but wen i switch the TV to the HDMI channel there is nothing. However wen i switch to the HDMI channel i hear the "d dong" noise (like wen u plug a USB device in) The solution i found was for Gigabyte/Asrock motherboard couldn't find anything for ABit.? I have emailed ABit my problem and got a reply from my email saying there is no such address. also tried to phone them and number is not in use??? Please help me it's doin my nut in. lol Thanks in advance
Abit have caved in, I don't think you will get any support from them. I'll be honest, so that you don't end up with issues further down the line, I'd send the motherboard back anyway and get an Asus or Gigabyte.
Cheers, but I kinda guessed that. Anyone with sum useful information would be appreciated. The HDMI must work, doubt they put it there for the crack.
