Not to be a pain in the butt, I just really need some insight on what i'm doing wrong and how to fix it. I'm trying to burn Fast and the furious. I follow Sublime77's guide to the T. However i still get the error message "No Navigation-Pack found in VOB file(s)! Looks like you're dealing with invalid VOB file(s)." at the end of the stripping process. I've included these pictures of what I step by step. Do you guys notice anythign that should be unchecked/checked that I dont have? I really wanna figure this out before I have to retrun these movies. Any help is appreciated. When do i want to save? and Get VTS sectors? Help!
I have done that one no probs at all. Just looked at ur folders correct me if i am wrong, concerning the stripping menus r these an exact picture of what u did? If so here it. U need to SELECT(TICK) which vob id/s u want on the vob id strip menu in ifoedit. To find which vob id's to keep. Open vts_08.0.ifo in ifoedit look at the huge list of chapters under the subpicture lists. on the right hand side top line it should have a statement like USES VOB ID's 1,2,3 etc. (the above numbers r just an example.) This is actually telling u which vob id's r related to the movie chapters underneath. When u do your stripping, then TICK THOSE BOXES ONLY. Basically the message u got is saying there are no vob files to correct vob nav pointers to. U NEED TO INCLUDE THE CORRECT VOB ID's. hope this sorts it. anymore probs let me know.
regarding the 'save' and 'get vts sectors. once the vob nav pointers r done. 1.click ok 2.close ifoedit. 3.re-open ifoedit. 4.open ur NEWLY created VIDEO_TS.ifo 5.hit 'get vts sectors' 6.hit ok to every message/exclamation that appears until there r no more. 7.in the top window u should now notice at the bottom there are 2 lines that have been added. video_ts.ifo vts_1.ifo This means that vts sectors have been changed AND SAVED. 8.close ifoedit and ur done to burn.
Yes, it works, thanks a bunch ! only thing now is my nero. What version do i need, because dvd-video isnt available to select.
nevermind, fixed it I burned it and when i put it into my DVD player (toshiba) it says disc error, please check disk. what did i screw up now?
Now u r in the big pond of compatibility issues! I am assuming that ur 'dvd' folder contains the following: 1.VIDEO_TS folder.THE VIDEO_TS folder MUST BE IN UPPERCASE! 2.Inside that folder reside all of ur files. Firstly what version of nero r u using?5.5.10 has reported problems closing discs r/w especially. Secondly what settings r u using ie dvd options? Does ur player support dvd-r/rw/dvd+r/rw u can check it on vcdhelp.com(dvd player compatibilities section) nero is getting ragged all over the forums because of compatibility issues. I use version 5.5.9.17. Read carefully!!!!!!!!!! I had compatibilty issues with nero and trialed a few variations. The following worked for 3 out of my 4 standalones ok. open nero.(I don't use the wizard) select DVD UDF/ISO. tick/dot 'no multisession' if available. look in the iso tab. tick level 2. UNTICK joliet. look in udf tab. make sure it is 'physical partition' AND version 1.02. look in label and change name to desired name. click new. u then should have on the leftside of screen an icon of a dvd and the labelname. put cursor over icon and right click. select new folder. rename folder with AUDIO_TS(uppercase). people say this helps with compatibility issues(I dont put it in). drag VIDEO_TS folder ONLY from the dir(u chose)over to the icon. u should have 2 folders here now AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. now click burn. it will now display the settings again wot u saw before, just check everything is in order as above then select burn. It will now do it's thing. People say this is the best way. NOW NEW ONE. As I said this worked for 3 out of 4 but I wanted ALL 4 so this is what I did. Everything above was the same EXCEPT I chose the DVD UDF option instead and burned this gave me ALL 4 WORKING FINE. This one may OR may not work as I have found that alot of the EARLIER DVD PLAYERS suit the DVD UDF option better. The one that gave me a problem was the LG3200E player which I got 3 1/2 years ago. Both of these also worked on ps2. Happy burning - any probs then post.
I have a toshiba 2800. I searched using that VCD site you gave me. I recieved: 1 Hit. 1 Toshiba 2800 players support DVDPLUSRW 100% 0 Toshiba 2800 players do not support DVDPLUSRW 0% 1 Toshiba 2800 players tested (0 Toshiba 2800 players are not tested). Now, i'm ASSUMING that the Toshiba 2800 Supports DVD+RW. I am using NERO 5.5.10.1 so that could be the problem. I'm Downloading 5.5.9.17 and i'll follow what you say. thanks for the help. i'll keep you posted.
just checked ur player if it is the sd2800 then the forum includes dvd-r/rw and dvd+r/rw compatibility. 22 posts. also someone said he/she burned using the dvd UDF option aswell so it looks like you player is ok.
