Hi, I was building this PC.Here are the parts I used:
    - ASUS M4A78T-E (Motherboard)
    - 750W Power supply
    - AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition
    - 2GB Ram Chips (3 of 'em)
    - ...and some other stuff that isnt worth writing down.

So the first time I started it, everything looked normal.
All the fans went on and the HDD started spinning.
But my monitor was just black. normally the BIOS or POST or whatever should come up, but nothing...
I don't think that the motherboard is broken because it has a little green LED right on it and that goes on.
Also the CPU Fan and the normal FaN go on and they are connected to the motherboard.

Anyone know what the problem is???

PS: I tried it on a different monitor too but it didnt work either.
(So its not the monitor having problems)

The reviews for that mainboard seem to include a lot of "no video" complaints. I take it that you are using onboard video (if not, switch to that to get into bios and select the PCIE video). You might try running it on just one ram chip, and if it does not work, trying it with just one of the other ram chips...just to be sure they are not the problem. I would also disconnect all front case switches & LEDs other than the power switch.

Also, one of the complaints I saw stated that the video only works on a reset...that is you have to switch it on, wait a few seconds, press reset, and then it works.

BTW...Do you get the post beep (when you first turn it on, one quick beep)?

I have a Graphics Card. It's the "Sapphire HD4850 1024MB Dual-Slot PCIe" I tried it with that in too but its the same thing. I tried the reset thing it doesnt work. I'll try disconnecting the stuff that you said. AND: When I built the PC I got rid of the beep thing because it annoys me and I guess I didnt think that I'll need it...well
