After using nero 8- nero vision 5- making a dvd there is no sound on movie used 3 differnt .avi files(same movie) with same result. this is the only .avi file that gave me this problem(no country for old men)video works great. also no sound on PC either from video file .avi works fine. when I check the details using showtime it shows sound info. only 1 audio language the audio attributes look like they are all there but there is no sound at all . I have made dozens of dvd's the exact same way and have had no problems with sound or picture this is the first one to give me this issue. whats diff about this movie. I used the default settings under video options (audio automatic) but i have never had to change any of these before anyone any ideas thanks
Drag the AVI onto GSpot and check the audio codec used. See if the audio is something odd like 'DTS' etc. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm
