No Sound on Kryptview A780

    Hi Guys
    I have recently did a full reset and rescan however I now dont get any sound whatsoever from any channel... obviously checked the mute button on both the Kryptview and TV remotes is there something I am missing? Had a look through the menu options but there is nothing for audio any help would be appreciated.

    push the scarts in fully at the back of the box and Tv, if not that replace the scart

    Alright MICKAH, I had already changed the scart lead over twice now and its still the same, even tried it on two different TV's

    is this box connected to the net? why did you do a scan, their is site maintence going on with the krypts and is missing some chans in the interim, if a scart is not fully pushed home at the back of the box and tv, you will get sound drop out or missing sound, the scart needs to be in the EXT 1 scart port on the Box

    It wasnt connected when I did the scan... Just reconnected it and carried out a rescan again.. I only got the new box yesterday and was unaware of the maintence going on... so seen I had a number of channels missing (bad or scrambled) so carried out a rescan only to find that it had then dropped the audio... scarts are all fine... checked these cables on other STB's and they all work fine but when connected to the new kv nothing.. scart is in EXT1 on both the kv and TV... pulling my hair out now as I cant think of anything other than reinstalling the software as a last resort.

    when you are scanning the box are you scanning on NETWORK or ALL can you tell me have you got your correct Net Id for your area if not get it from your providers box

    Its scanned on Network and the correct Net ID is entered... Even tried connecting it with a composite video and RCA cables but still no sound so that leads me to now believe that the KV box audio is faulty... so think the only option is to return this and get a replacement...

    Cheers guys for your advice... was just neding a fresh pair of eyes just incase I overlooked something trivial.

    are you sure the box is not muted or that the volume is turned down try the remote for the box use the cursor on it to the right at this stage im clutching at straws

    Yeah tried that mate.. must be the box thats faulty as I say I only got this new box yesterday afternoon the audio worked initually but the moment I rescanned there was no audio... must have rescanned it now about a dozen times and reinstalled the software as well as changing all the scart leads trying RCA connections changing TV's all to no avail.. I am beat and other than taking a hammer to it I cant see a solution.. Cheers for the help anyway

    sound send the box back so best way and let them check it

    Had the same prob.Then noticed that after factory restore the vol was at 0. Turned it up and way-hay.
