I'm trying to convert a divx movie file into mpeg so that i can make a vcd. However i've tried all the methods taught on this site and i just can't get any sound out on my mpeg file.

I've tried saving the audio file as wav using virtualdub and rejoining it with the avi file with tmpgenc while converting it into an mpeg file. but i don't get any sound...
    Pls help!!!

Well have you tried decompressing the audio in the avi file and then using it with TMPGEnc??

Done that. The quality turned bad and the audio out of sync. I giving up. Is it just the file?
