When you say there was no sound, was this beofre or after putting it onto disc? Also, did you download this from a p2p facility, and if so, some times you get movies with nos sound as an attempt to put you off downloading future ciopyrighted material for free. i am not saying that you did this, just letting you know.

If you want to play it on a DVD Player, you will need to convert it using TMPGEnc and multiplex the sound. This will get you an mpeg2 file. Then use TMPGEnc DVD Author to make it DVD Compliant.

Do you have a kiss or elta DVD Player because normally DVD players will not play DivX or Xvid or any type of Mpeg4. To make sure it will work on your DVD player syou should encode it to mpeg2 using TMPGEnc with multiplexed sound. Then use a different program called TMPGEnc DVD Author to create the DVD compliant files. It should work now. Bare in mind the whole process takes around 14 hours.
