Hi, trying to unlock a nokia 6021. Get IMEI no problem with *#06# (gives code instantly when last # is pressed). However, when I enter the unlock code nothing happens, doesn't give an error or anything, code just stays on the screen as if it hasn't been completed yet. The battery meter on the right is in red, don't know if that's significant. I've tried a few times so it's not an entry error. Any ideas?
When you press *#06# dos not give you the code, that is the registration (imei) number . to make a code we need: Make/Model: Nokia 6021 IMEI #: Country the phone is locked to: Provider:
If is the correct code........ insert another network SIM and press "undo" before using the code and use the code once only!
Ok, that at least did something, thanks! I tried 1 and 7 and the phone said "Phone restricted" to both. I would then have to restart the phone as it would no longer take commands. I got the codes from http://unlock.nokiafree.org/dct4.php?phone=6021 using the recommended generator.
“phone Restricted” or “Not allowed” (something similar) means. After you have made 5 attempts or even 3 attempts on newer phones and failed, the phone displays that message, meaning that the phone is "hard locked." At this point, you will still be able to use phone with the original provider, but you will not be able to unlock it by codes. You will need to take or send it to a professional for direct unlocking service. This is for you..... To generate the codes that we use takes many months of research. We strive to ensure that the codes we give work. All Nokia phones will unlock by a 15 digit code that either we or the network provider will provide. Certain models ie: BB5, Asic 11 and DCT4+ models can only be unlocked (code wise) by the network provider. Every code is unique to the individuals IMEI number. The majority of models require a different BS (box serial) to unlock the phone. I will give only one example. A Nokia 2600 will require a BS (box serial) of 32811 to successfully unlock the phone. (other factors are taken into account, country of origin, network the phone is locked too + what #1-7 to use. Which you still need to research to get the correct code as you need to have the correct MMC+MNC code.) If the code is successful the phone will display "Phone restrictions off" and then is able to work with any compatible newtork (depending on frequency compatibility)
Hey thanks for that. It's the only message that it ever gave me so I guess somebody had their hands on it before me. Shame, but what can you do. Thanks for the help anyway.
