Non brand name Power Supply?

    So are non brand name PSUs a bad idea? Like this 600W one for instance.

    I'm considering buying a graphics card that requires either 400W or 450W and would need a new power supply.

    well i for one wouldnt risk frying my computer with an unknown psu.you know the old addage,you get what you pay for.

    im using a ritmo power supply in my computer.ritmo is a rather cheap brand but seems to work fine.

    They seem like a good idea at the time. Then when you have to replace every component in your system as well as the power supply when it all goes up in smoke, they seem like less of a good idea. $20 PSUs can easily cause $500+ worth of damage.
