Can anyone advise? I have an old X-box console which I normally play games on split screen with my son. Now my daughter wants to get into the action as well and I will like to ask...am I able to just connect the console to 3 TV monitors to solve this split screen problem(so that all of us can view on 1 entire monitor each) or do I need to get another console to allow her to play with us (will the screen then be split further!?)
Split screen i would assume is software controlled so no your only option is linking, that would also mean two copies of the game will be needed, best bet is buy another xbox 1,install chips & larger hdd's to both boxes & run game from hdd rather than rom drive, since the boxes, chips & hdd's are cheap it would imo be worth doing,i've just had two of mine done & went & bought two more xboxes which i will do also tho i'll be using an extender kit so 3 hdds can run in each box,it's great you can install games to all 3 hdd's or split them so 1 has games,1 has movies the other music price in nz dollars xbox 2nd hnd unmodded $100-150 depending on how many game disks come with them duo chip $20 chip fitting & xbmc install $40-$60 1 x new hdd 500gb IDE $120. or a 750GB samsung SATA for $150 SATA to IDE adaptor $30.
scorp are you serious? All you need is 2 xbox's that boot to the ms dash and you can softmod them, and throw one game on the stock hard drive. You might have to edit out the campain files but you will still be able to play multiplayer. This setup would be maybe 80 dollars or so if you looked on craigslist for used xbox's. The cheapest xbox i ever bought was 15 dollars lol. Search "how to softmod" and you will find all the answers you're looking for.
Yep i am C4RN1,well for what i want them for anyway,i was originally just going to go with one chip & 1 hdd in each box but ended up getting carried away..lol..,yeah anyway my preferred method is hard mod
If you go mod chip!!! Be farwarned xboxs with a 2004 production date wont read dvd-r or cd-r. So a drive update may also be needed.
