Sorry, I don't know alot about ipods. I did search before posting this but didn't immediately find anything useful.

I want to put the new socom map-packs on my ipod. How do I put the ipod into disc mode to do this?

    What do you mean?
Can't you burn them on a blank disk?

No, you can't put them on a blank disc. I shouldn't have even posted this question 'cause if u google it you'll find the answer instantly. I was just drunk. As for saving the Socom 3 map packs you have to either have the ps2 hdd or a usb flash memory device. The ipod will work as that in disc mode.

If you plug your iPod into your computer and go to Edit->Prefrences in iTunes there will be an option under one of those tabs. You can set it to manually eject. I'm not at my usual computer so I can't give you the exact instructions to do it, but you should be able to figure that out.

Anyway, this will now allow you to open up the iPod in 'My Computer' and you can add whatever type of file you'd like to it.

Now I'm not sure how well it will work as a flash drive, but to put it into disk mode you hold down Menu and Center assuming you have a regular iPod and not the shuffle. For the shuffle you have to right click on it in iTunes, and alot a certain amount of space for data, and it will allow you to place files on the iPod via 'My Computer' The shuffle will automatically act as a USB device, so when you connect it to your PS2 it should work as you'd like it to.
