I have this model of Norcent's dvd player that plays Divx video. It plays all DivX files perfectly, but for some weird reason it will play some Xvid files fine but others look terrible. I ran one video that works and one that doesn't through GSpot, but I couldn't tell any difference bwtween the 2 files. Does anyone know what could cause this?
I've had a Norcent for a few months now and love it. Occasionally I'll run across an XVID or DIVX movie that looks like it's using some weird color palette. I used to think these files needed a fast recompress to be viewable but then discovered that hitting the Setup button, then the down arrow button, then Setup again would fix the problem. There's another button down near the Setup button which will also fix the problem but I can't remember which one it is. Try a few and see what happens.
