I have an error on start up 'Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library'...... Program: CProgram FilesCommon FilesSymantec SharedccEvtMgr.exe R6025 - pure virtual function call..... I contacted Symantec and they told me to find a .dll file and change it to .old...I searched for the file and it did not exist. Yes I enabled searching for hidden files. This error disables Auto-Protect on Norton Anti Virus 2003. I have just had and got rid of blaster.worm following your instructions on a really old post. Would this have naything to do with this new error? Oh...by the way I am relatively new at this so you need to write in "english". SORRY!
I recommend SpyBot Search & Destroy! I bet it will find 100+ complaints with your system. Its 'immunization' routine for IE6 is valuable and can also block bad downloads in future. Between Norton, SpyBot S&D, RegCleaner, and Windows Update you can do yourself a major tuneup; also visit Steve Gibson @ http://grc.com for some important little security programs like UnPNP, Shoot The Messenger etc. Re-install your OS once/year maybe; I know, scary stuff but you will be very pleased with youself once accomplished...
