not able to play dvd+r on xbox

Hi
Can someone please help me.. I have ripped my dvd's using dvd43,dvdshrink and nero onto dvd+r disk and it wont play in my xbox(not chipped). It does play in my dvd player however. So I ripped the exact same file to a dvd+rw and it plays in xbox but not in dvd player. Can someone tell me how to rip onto dvd+r and have it play in xbox and dvdplayer. Thanx

 

some xboxs just cant read dvd+r or are very picky about the brand of media you use.

 

sounds like you have the samsung drive in yer xbox and its pritty tricky to change over so ive been told

 

you can try maxell dvd =rs they work in most all unmodded xboxs so do sony cdrs

if you have a samsung drive it wont pick up dvd+r, im telling you this cuz i have a samsung drive on my xbox. and this is what it reads, cd-r//cd-rw and dvd-r havent tried dvd-rw yet. but if you have a thompson drive you are screwed!! you shouldve post this on the xboxgeneral question forum
