    Hi,

I have a DVD full of .VOB files which I don't need a program for to get on my mac. The problem is that I need to edit them in Final Cut Pro and that doesn't read .VOB files so I've spent all day trying to find a good way of converting these files. I've found many programs (inc. DiVa) but none work properly. One takes years, the other doesn't do sound etc.

Has anyone had this problem before and found a quick and easy way to solve this annoying problem?

    Thanks

Try Toast 6 (only stereo audio) or Toast with Jam (dolby and dts audio support). Choose the video tab. Drag the DVD image and press the export button and you will get a DV file that you can import on FCP. On my computer takes less than 1/3 of the DVD running time (20 min. clip on 6 min.).
