I have some movies that I want to burn to a DVD so that I can watch them on my big screen. Someone told me that I need to convert the AVI Video File to a DVD Video File. Can someone tell me how to do this? And is there anything else I should know? What would be the very best program to do the burning with? SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

To do this in the Most Basic Way (Burn it to DVD without any menu"s or Chapters) is Extremely Simple all you need is 2 programs...

First you need a Burning program Like "Nero" and secondly you need the program that will convert your AVI to DVD Format and the easiest (But definately not the Best) program would be "VSO DivXToDVD" which you can download on this Page:

    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm

Just load your AVI file into it and then let it do it"s think and it will leave you with a "Video_TS" folder that has a Bunch of files in it, Now all you have to do is Burn the "Video_TS" Folder to DVD in "DVD Video" mode with a Burning program Like "Nero" but burn at the Lowest speed Possible if you want the disk to actually play properly on your DVD Player.....

There also Might be a Guide in the Guides section on how to use it that should help you if you get stuck....

    Cheers
