Hey smaan, welcome to our forums. You have to put the ipod into disk mode to do this. heres how to do it: 1. Before manually placing the iPod into Disk Mode you should verify that it has a charge, if not you need to either charge iPod before continuing or connect it to power. You can either connect it to a high-powered USB port, or plug the iPod Power Adapter into an electrical outlet and connect iPod to the power adapter. 2. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Set it to Hold, then turn it off again.) 3. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for at least 6 seconds until the Apple logo appears. 4. When the Apple logo appears, release the Menu and Select buttons and immediately press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears Hope it works!

alright, thanks for the respoces. holy crap, putting it to disk mode KILLS the battery LOTS. i had half, know its in red, and i only have like a sliver of battery life left. what does disc mode do anyway? and lethal when i put it in word pad, it looks good, but then sometimes, a little bit of weird code comes on. weird. and plus, when i downloaded stuff off the internet, and that stuff is made for ipod notes, i cant open it on my computer. when i double click it, it says the program cant be opened, select on from a list or go on the internet to get one or something. so i guess i dont have a program that is made for notes maybe... anyway, help would be much appreciated. smaan
have you figured out that weird code thing yet? mine seems to have the same thing. the title is tight, but when i click on it it isnt what i put, some differnt language or codes or something. any help eny1? thanks!
You have to use notepad to type files on your Windows computer and put them on your iPod. The file your talking about smaan may be an Apple file, which is why Windows isn't recongnizing it. Drag it into your iPod's notes folder, as Lethal suggested, and you might be able to view it. To get to your notes folder open up 'My Computer' Click on your iPod [it should be in disk mode, and will show up as a hardrive], and then your Notes folder should be there, just drag and drop into that folder and you should be set.
Than I honestly have no idea If you can view the text on the internet you could of course just copy and paste to notepad, save it then move it on.
when i try to view the note that i have put in, the note is cut half way. it only top few paragragh. can anyone help me? thanks
It may have exceeded the limits, in which case, it should be linked to the second half. Have a look at this for more info http://developer.apple.com/hardware/ipod/iPodNoteReaderGuide.pdf
what do u mean by it should be link to the second half? how do i see the second half after seeing the first half? thank you very much
9000200 - do you use notepad to create the files & then just drag them in the 'notes' folder of your iPod?
