i've changed from winMe to WinXP and now i can't play mpeg2 and can't remember what i need to play those files, can somebody answer? please can't play them on power dvd, wmp, quick time and i could before! thanks
You need the MPEG2 codec which means you need to get a softwaredvd player (or just the mpeg2 codec: http://www.elecard.com/products/mpeg2decoder.shtml). For some DVD Players, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/43127
Thanks, you see? i gonna experiment those sites you said, because now that i'm XP i'm having lots of problems with my hardware and software cause it seams everything i had was not for XP, i'm from Mexico, so ..... you can image, right? and i have to admit i find myself lost very often and easyly with all this computer stuff. Not a problem! ... it's best not to get too attatched to Windows Media player however, it has a lot peculiarities to it.... it works really well for some people and very poorly for others. :0
