i have a ntsc file. well i dont what to do with them but im sure thats another thread. i figured out how to play it on my pc but there is no sound any suggestions thanks
How much did you learn from the other thread? Are you aware NTSC in a standard display mode for 4:3 ratio (480i, analog), North American and Japanese TVs (not a file type)! Learn about NTSC: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTSC#Technical_details Is your NTSC file ripped from a DVD or downloaded or something else? What media players have you tried (Mindows Media, WinAMP, QuickTime, ect...)? And lastly, what format is the file (Divx/AVI, MPEG, WMV, MOV/QuickTime, ect...)? Ced
thanx peeps. the files have been downloaded i played it with vcl player the extension is i think ntsc is that a file extension thanks.
NTSC is not a file type. As Ced said NTSC is the standard display mode for USA and Japan. I suggest your read up on it in the link he posted. WHile your at it check out what PAL is as well. Learn about PAL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAL
I recommend downloading an app called AVI codec: Link: http://avicodec.duby.info/ AVI codec will let you know everything about your file and weither or not you have the correct codecs installed to play the audio stream. Open your video file using AVI codec. If that app wont help you for some reason try using GSpot. It does the same thing but has a harder to read GUI but more advanced anylisis features, especially for un-suppported file types. Link: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ I typically use these apps in tandem. Ced
