Hello and good day to all. I just got the greatest deal on direct tv. and was told I can hookup my tivo dvr to my computer via usb cable. I was also told that the dvr/tivo unit saves t.v.shows in windows media format. Is there a way,to convert from the windows format to something equal or better? Also, once this task is done and all's good,can I use Nero to burn the show to DVD-R for viewing later and how do I do this. Thanks for the advice...
AFAIK they use mpeg 2 compression which can then just be authored to dvd. Not sure about copyright issues tho...
