Using Win XP Home SP2, Nero VIsion 3.1.0.21 In this version of NVE, there is a black video in the Sample Video group. According to the manuals I've read, this can be used as a background for text effects used to precede a video. This is great, but what do I need to do to change it or add new options with other colors or even still pics as a background? Apparently I'm the only person who doesn't know how to do this because all my searches on the topic have been fruitless. ;o) Thanks EdP
Hi Ed, It sounds like the black video you have is OK, but you just want something else besides that. You can make it yourself using any digital image from a graphics program, digital camera or whatever you have. Open NeroVision. Select Make a Slideshow- DVD Video. Browse for then add your picture. Set the duration for 5 seconds. Create the slideshow, burning it as a DVD-Video to a HDD location. When you want to add it to your Nero Vision DVD-Video project, browse for it(just grab the .vob from the VIDEO_TS folder) and drop it into your timeline. you can drop it in several times in a row to make the duration correct. Experiment with adding text and other effects while making your single picture slideshow. One good thing about this is that because you are only using a single picture it only takes a few minutes to make.
Thanks for the response, fasfrank ... >It sounds like the black video you have is OK, but you just want something else besides that. < Yes. I was trying to figure out how I could turn a still graphic into a video format to import into NVE. Searching the internet, I found a lot of discussion regarding the code used to do such a thing. Well, no thanks, I had my fill of coding back in the 60's. Although I've been using Nero for quite a while, I never had the occasion to use the slide show feature, so it never came to mind - the solution was right at my fingertips and I didn't know it. sheesh. Thanks very much for taking the time to provide the solution and especially the step-by-step instructions. Truly appreciated. EdP
