I have a Compaq Presario F500 laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100 card. I want to update the driver but cant find anything. Certain games wont even work anymore because it's too old. Can someone please help!?!? I like to *think* of myself as pretty good with computers but for the life of me I just can't find anything.

Laptops usually have graphics cards that are customized versions of desktop graphics cards, so it is very likely that the only place you are going to find official drivers for it is the compaq/hp website.

Your going to have to look at HP's site for the official drivers or you can find some slightly modified ones that are more recent if you do some googleing... Being that your card is a 6100, its not that the drivers are too old its that the card is to old to run alot of the newer games....

The thing is that I was able to run the games before and then one day they just stopped working. I have gone to the official pages but with no luck. I have even tried searching for information on my card on the official pages but they dont even have it listed anymore...

The card may be wearing out. Being it's a laptop card they heat up excessively and it will shorten the lifespan of the card...
