I picked up this drive from NewEgg.com http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=27-129-138&depa=1 The first one gave me a problem so I sent it back and got a new one which is also having the same problem...

I put it on the other IDE chain, checked my aspi, checked my jumpers and removed some of my codecs. I am stumped as to what to do next short of sending this one back in for a return and purchase a retail from somewhere else?!?!?! DMA is enabled and I have not flashed it...YET...but am going to in a little while because the one I sent back burned 4x media at 8x and extracted at close to 12x perfectly with Flashmans firmware.

Any help or info is appreciated!

    *Edit

I tried playing a DVD with another program called VideoLan and it works fine so I am thinking it is a back codec so I removed the ones I could find with uninstall.exe's but it still does it in WinDVD and Windows Media Player just chokes on it and shut off. This is really bugging me as I hate having something NOT working on my PC when I NEVER have problems.....

WOOT! I fixed it...It was something SO simple, I had the hardware decode and color acceleration checked ON! Time to flash it and then put my codecs back on!
