    When a spammer (and I am being generous because they are jerks) post offensive threads to AD, the moderator is generally quick to close that thread. I appreciate all the moderators and they do an excellent job. My suggestion is that the moderators have the power (or if they already have it) to remove the thread completely. I believe some of these offensive titles can give newbies a bad first impression and turn them off.

    For example this thread:
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/200577

    Does this thread and title need to be in clear view until it moves to page 2.......
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    This is my edited revision:

    That was fast!!!The offensive thread in question has already been removed within minutes of this post. Thank you very much!

    The thread title can be edited or the entire thread can be hidden which is what I normally do with all spam threads :)

    I third that, Kinza.. I dont think most of the new people who join aD realise that the mods here actually do what they do for FREE.. this is legendary..

    but i think i can speak for all of the mods when i say we would accept donations via paypal if you feel so inclined ;)

    but seriously, thanks for the words, it's very hard to keep up with this place sometimes and i know i'm not the only one that has considered just walking away from all of it from time to time. but we do it for you guys, the members and users of aD. oh hell who am i kidding, we're all power junkies and we get off on this shit!

    but i meant the donation part! lol

    i'm kind of disappointed by the enforcement of rule #6 these days...especially the foul language part. i understand that anything goes on the profiles, but i see mods skipping right over language that would get a member a lecture to a banning at one point.

    Got a link aus? You know we can't be everywhere at all times so the offensive post report is pretty effective at tracking down the no-gooders. And as far as the language goes it gets hard to edit all the posts when everyone in the thread "quotes" the offensive comments...that in turn makes the editing more than what should be necessary to fix the situation.

    You mean like WTF & STFU? It usually is overlooked if in a post, but is not accepted in a thread title as it is unnecessary. I realize that with a site as big as this that there is a very diverse member base and at some point someone is going to be offended no matter what we let some get away with. I cuss like a sailor in real life and very little offends me, and while I try to behave myself accordingly when I'm online, it's hard to detatch myself from how I talk in real life and what is expected of members here at AD. As we always ask, if you see something that is questionable use the "report offensive post" button so we can take a look at it and make a decision. I know that both of you (ZoSoIV and Auslander) use the button frequently, but I'm sure there are things that you let slide as well and don't report. If you overlook something, then we, as mods might do the same.

    WTF and STFU is ok with me , its when the mask words like S word and the F word etc. .I mean i don't really care but i know there are alot of kids on the site that probably shouldn't be seeing it or there parents don't want them seeing it lol. but i may be wrong
