    Ok I just downloaded a .ogg and .mkv file and it says there is a divx video format inside and I can view it fine with windows media player. Is it possible to extract the divx video out of these files so I can convert it to dvd? Thanks.

    .ogg can't contain DivX by the way. If it has divx, then it is an ogm file.

    ogm != ogg

    Also in case anyone comes across this in a search. You can demux streams from an ogm file using ogmdemux, streams from mkv files using mkvextract and streams from an ogg using oggzrip. VirtualDubMod also supports extraction from ogm's and some mkv's.
