Omg for all the people that say u cant get on live with a softmod u r wrong.... i succesfully got on xblive with my softmod off...... u cant get banned.... heres wat i did: i hit the eject button 1st then popped in halo 2 and it loaded with the softmod off then boom i downloaded all the maps and i was owning on xbl for those who dont beleive me my xbl game tag is: NutsBloodlust
Yeah M$ dosen't do the insta-kick-ban thing. You can do what you did simply enough. But, if you wish to take the ultimate Test try getting on Live!™ again Tonight!! However if you were running your XBOX™ without a Softmod and all the Hexplotes you did to get your Softmod working were on the F:\ Partition. then you may have a slight chance. Because M$ have been know to scann XBOX™ HDD Namely on the C:\ Partition for known Hexpl01t's (e.g. the Bert & Ernie Font Hexpl01t),...

All u have to do is uninstall linux and redownload the maps and ur xbox is good again if you ever want to stop modding.
your halo 2 is a backup or original?? if its original then your fine u wont get banned as xbox boots dvd 1st hdd 2nd so when original game all the files are as they should be this what some 1 told me i dont actually no if its true or not does any1 know?
As far as I know there's no other way to do it! As the XBOX™ will not boot unsigned Discs in Retail Mode. But, it has little to do with what you have in the Tray. As opposed to what you have in your C: & E: Drive's. It's been an agument of contention for a long time now and it may have passed on as a bit of an Urban Lenged aswell. But, there are those out there that have had the Sofmoded XBOXs'™ banned off Live!™. when they swear up and down that the mod was off. That could only mean that M$ has the capablilty to sniff out which Files you have stored on C: or E: (Dashboard and Games Save Partitions resectfully),. So it's been a give-in that in order to be be "safe" you should run your 'Softmods' off of the F: Partition (or higher), as the Retail Firmware (and presumably M$), does not recognize it and M$ can not see it. I can't say if there's anything to it or not I never used the Live!™ Service myself! But, having been in this scene now for over the past Three Years now. I pretty much know that once you get baned on Live!™ For anything! Then you got banned for Life! That is to say your XBOX™ has gotten baned for life. Your Account on the other Hand, is still active, and you could according to M$ buy a new Non-Moded / Non-Banned XBOX™. Or you can try your luck with One of those Secondhand EEPROM Shops. Where you could get a new 'On-Line Key' to install over with ConfigMagic...

o_0 huh!! ugh whatever... You need to use something like a Slayers or Autoinstaller Pro to repartiton your XBOX™ HDD. As it's mostlikly only Formated for only Eight Gigabytes, instead of the actuall Ten Gigabytes that the Stock XBOX™ HDD actually ships with... Not you'll need to backup your stuff first as doing this will bacicly reformat your HDD, and then reinstall everything new again!!
let me straten this out if i run an original disc from boot up i can still be banned?on a modded box of course and is it risky to re-format? all my stuff is in c and e drive will i have to have the dash ini file in c all the time though? and do i put even original ms stuff on f drive?? lol thx m8
Again it's only hearsay I don't know it it's just an Urben Legend or Fact Microsoft has never said One thing about it or not. But if anyone could in theroy gain access to your XBOX™ it's Microsoft. Dashboard Updates etc. I've personaly seen litterly dozens of People reporting that there Chip / Softmod was disabled and yet they still got baned. Because they had ileagle Files (e.g. Hexpl01ts) on there C:\ or E:\ Partitions. Or other Persons who were discoverd to be running a much larger HDD then the 10Gib Stock Drive were also reported as being baned. Fact or Fiction?!?! Again nobody knows for sure!! But, installing stuff to a place that shouldn't exist (i.e. F:\ on the Stock Drive), that the normal Retail Firmware will never recognize or acknoledge it can't be to bad of an idea...
you guys are dumb if you modded your box right you would be able to get on live all the time wich and can and now i have a patch that i cant get banned for a week you no what that meens owning newbs for one whole week
you will get banned, they will get you no madder what you do they check you eeprom and if it is modded (xbox) they will know.
