Alright, so here's the deal, everything was working fine, and then i decided to open the avi MIB 2, and the following message appeared: "Virtual Dub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compability. This may introduce up to 3562 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to be an umcompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (bitrate: 130.6 and this little weird sign, then 10.9 kbps. Can somebody please help me how to fix this?, thanks in advance.

Thanks for your help scf_au, but it wasn't what i was looking for, (but the freeware program is cool though), u see, i want to open MIB2, so i can change it to mpeg. Ive done it before, but i dont know why it doesnt wanna work with MIB2. I want to change it to mpeg so it can fit in one cdr. After i open it with virtual dub, ill then open it with tmpgnec, so it will make the movie smaller in order to burn it in a cdr. So can you tell me what else i can do to make it work with MIB2? thanks
Ok, i got Nandub, but when i opened the avi movie, MIB2, it worked fine, but then i pressed play in Nandub, and there was sound for about 2 seconds. That's it, now what do i do?
I'd suggest VirtualDubMod. It has pretty much every usefull features from NanDub, but is more upto date. Why exactly do you need to play it in VirtualDub, NanDub, etc.?
Well, in VirtualDub, there's a play option at the bottom. I pressed that option and there was no sound, only for about 2 sec, and i already tried VirtualDubMod, and it works perfect, but the only problem is that it doesn't have the Audio option, and i need that option. You see, my goal is just to convert an avi movie to an mpeg, and then reduce the size of it with Tmpgenc so it can fit in one cd-r. So, anyone got a solution? And ill try the programs scf_au suggested, but meanwhile if anyone has a solution, please help me, thanks.
You want to decode to PCM? VirtualDubMod has all the old audio options. They just got moved. Check under streams. If you frameserve to TMPGEnc via AVISynth then the audio gets decoded to PCM on the fly. Also encodes faster if you let AVISynth do the resizing, etc.
Hi celtic_d, I am a newbie here. I try to convert a DVD to XviD with AC3 surround sound, i am follow the Guide from http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/copy_dvd_to_xvid.cfm but until the step to Multiplexing the AC3 with the video with VirtualDubMod software. I couldn't found the Audio option on the VirtualDubMod software. How can i configure it on the streams option? Would appreciate if you can help me on this.
Alright, i tried yet another avi movie, and the same problem appeared like the first message i typed. but this time, instead of encoding the source of an Avi file, Xvid appeared this time, what do i do?
Did you try it in Nandub? VirtualDubMod has the same problem as regular VirtualDub with wanting to rewrite the audio header with VBR audio. NanDub doesn't have that issue.
VirtualDubMod unlike regular VirtualDub asks you. I don't get the part about XviD instead of avi. If you open an XviD avi with VBR mp3 audio in VDub it still says avi in the message.
