I was wondering if there is a way to read from my dvd-rom and then burn to my separate dvd-rw but no use "on the fly" burning as I've read on here that produces errors. I would be burning my backups that I have used dvdshrink on, so encryption is gone and they are compressed. That way I wouldn't have to babysit the whole process. Even better can I use dvdshrink with two drives?

With Nero 6 you should be able to select "Copy Disc" (Recorder > Copy Disc). Then under the "Copy Options" tab, select the drive that has the backup that you are trying to copy in it. Also, make sure the "On the Fly" box is unchecked. Under the "Image" tab, you can select where you would like the temporary image to be stored (since you are trying to not use the "on the fly" option). You can also select "Delete image after copy" option if you would like Nero to automatically delete the image after your burn is complete. Then go to the "Burn" tab, specify the options, and click "Copy".

With Shrink, two drives will also work. Insert the original movie into the dvd-rom drive. Then when you click "Open Disc", select the drive with the movie in it. The in the window that pops up after clicking "Backup!", select the burner drive (with blank media already inserted) as your "Target Drive". Then proceed the way you usually would. Both of those methods should work. Good Luck, and let us know how it went.
