I am looking to have a standardized library of video files. Of course the problem lies in what ever you download, or rip always store in a variety of formats. Everyone loves re-encoding these to one type. I would like to find one codec that has the ability to play on PS3, Xbox 360. It would be nice to have a minimum of 640*480 but if possible 720p. Always having decent audio. I guess the only other stipulation would be to have this file under 1 GB in size so it does not kill all usable space on the storage medium. Yes this may create a good all post fight... but hey lets go... Thank you in advance for all insight given.
mp4/h264 is supported by Playstation 3,psp, Iphone but I don't know about the xbox this is where you run into issues. I use pspvideo 9 for my psp to transcode divx files.
